Sajura ("we", "the app") is a Korean astrology (saju) app for entertainment. This policy explains what we collect and how it is used. By using the app you agree to this policy.
What we collect
To calculate your saju chart and generate readings, you provide your first name, date of birth, time of birth (optional), and birthplace (optional). If you choose to create an account, we also collect your email address (and, with Google sign-in, your name as provided by Google). We do not ask for a phone number or any government identifier.
Where your data is stored
If you use Sajura without an account, your birth details and readings stay on your own device: in the app's own storage on a phone, or your browser's storage on the web. Deleting the app, or clearing your browser data, removes them. If you sign in, your profile is also stored on our servers (via our database provider, Supabase) so it can sync across your devices. You can delete this any time. See "Your choices & rights".
AI-generated readings
When you request a personalized reading, the data derived from your birth details (your saju chart) is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, which processes it to generate the reading text and returns it to you. We send the chart and your first name, not your raw birth certificate. Anthropic processes the request under its own terms and does not train its models on it.
Analytics & product improvement
To understand and improve the app, we record usage events (e.g. which screens you view, which compatibility modes you use, whether an invite was shared) and, for quality analysis, the readings we generate for you together with the chart they were based on. This is stored on our servers and linked to your device and, if you sign in, your account. It is used only to improve Sajura, never sold. Deleting your account permanently deletes this data.
Payments
If you subscribe to Premium in the iPhone or Android app, the purchase is handled by Apple or Google and we never see your payment details; we receive only confirmation that the subscription is active. On the web, payments are processed by Stripe, which handles all card data, and we never receive or store your full card number. Either way we store only your subscription status, plan, and renewal date, linked to your account, to unlock Premium features.
Age requirement
Sajura is for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has used the app, contact us and we will help remove the data.
Your choices & rights
You're in control: without an account, delete the app or clear your browser data to remove everything held on your device. With an account, you can sign out, or delete your account and all stored data any time from Account → Delete my account. If you are in the EU/EEA or UK, you have rights to access, correct, and erase your personal data under the GDPR; contact us to exercise them.
